Slow down!

I read an article and was recently in sync with it. Each one of us are running for something or the other, be it a goal or someone or any other thing. We don't get time for our own selves on a daily basis. Time when we just slow down, reflect, and are at peace with just ourselves. This time is really important for us for it makes us more open up to new discoveries, makes us more productive in our relationships and makes us feel more healthy and happier. I lately have been really packed up and realized that I need to take out time for myself on a daily basis. I will try my level best to do that from today itself after returning to home. How often do you just reflect and slow down to observe what is happening around you?

I do time by time and yesterday was one of those relaxed day where I did almost nothing, only relaxed and planned my next few days.

Wow. That's seriously amazing. It feels really good and contented when we are relaxing and give time to ourselves.

As you say, it can be very hard to do this. It's probably a bit easier for me because I no longer work.

I dont remember when is the last time I just spent time with myself. In our busy schedule we hardly ever realize that we dont give time to ourselves.

That is a very good point you make. It seems like we are all running after what we think will make us happy. Alas happiness is often not found in that fashion.

I agree. Taking out even half an hour is a big task for most of us.

It has been my hobby to think things up before climbing on my bed. I sometimes spend time talking to myself and God. I am not in a crazy state. Thus, I am evaluating the things happened for the day.

@shubhu3 A lot actually, and too much reflection isn't always a good thing either.

I agree on this. Too much and too less both are not healthy.

One thing 2017 has taught me is to have a time for just me. I called it the self-care challenge because it was something that I used to find difficult to do.
