Did you know what we eat and drink affects our bodies in a number of ways? It can affect our sleep, thought process, energy level, and health. That's why in 2018, a group of patients with tinnitus/hyperacusis decided to see just how much what we eat and drink really does affect us. It will be a group of people with either tinnitus, which is ringing in the ears and those with hyperacusis, a rare condition of sound sensitivity to everyday sounds. The objective is to document what foods and drinks cause a noticeable change in the conditions. This has been an ongoing topic for some time amongst member with the condition. Some saying salt makes their tinnitus spike or milk their hyperacusis. Then you have others it doesn't bother at all. Why is this? The group will ban a specific food or drink for 2-3 weeks, then allow themselves to have it for a week. Each member will then share their results. Please don't let one of the foods be rice. I love rice. How well do you know your body?

At times I think I know me then I wonder. Supposedly a person craves sugar less if you eat more protein. Never works with me. We eat whole grains and little white stuff so maybe some day this will help with my cravings. Ha ha.
