Where is good old Mr Sun?

United Kingdom
January 3, 2018 2:33am CST
I am feeling chilled to the bone this morning and I am sitting at my computer and all I can hear is the howling of the wind, literally. It was a stormy night last night and the weather channel did say that we were expecting another hurricane and this one had a funny name, they seem to name each new storm that arrives. Well, I went outside at around 11 pm in order to close a couple of bins in the bin store as the doors racket like mad when the wind is doing its thing! This morning the wind continues to sing and I do like the sound but the Sun has long disappeared and it seems like Mr Sun has taken one long vacation after the Christmas break. I crave the Sun, I need some more of that good old vitamin D on my face! So, there you have it. I am stuck at my computer with nothing but hot teas and the wind for company. I take it you got some Sun where you are? If so, tell Mr Sun that he is due back in London urgently!!

From December 31st till the 2nd day of January, it was so gloomy but today, finally the sun came out. So happy to finally see the sun that I just had to make a snapchat.

Yes, the Sun is definitely shining on you and I can also see a little bit of blue sky in the rear window there! Well, I'm still accompanied by the wind but at least I have some hot drinks to keep warm. When the weather improves I look forward to returning to cycling in the Sun.

Oh I'm passionate about cycling you know, all that freedom and fresh air. My arms tan very easily in the Sun and I suddenly become golden brown!

The sun is blazing here, but we will probably have thunderstorms this afternoon, I see a few clouds building. I hope Mr Sun will visit you soon.

South Africa? I should imagine the Sun is very hot at it's peak where you are. Still, nothing but very grey clouds this morning as I continue tap, tap, tapping away on my keyboard. Have a nice day.

@AndrewFreyne yes, we're at the height of summer but a lot of thunderstorms at the moment. Some pretty grey clouds building here. Good luck with the howling wind and cold. Have a nice day too, thanks.

Mr. Sun was never all that fond of the UK! Be patient until his next appearance.

Oh well, there was the smallest bit of sunlight breaking through the cloud earlier but it was totally ambushed by the surrounding clouds. Until tomorrow then!

I think mr. sun prefers the tropics. British weather is so unpredictable.

Yes, the Tropics sound like a favourite destination for the Sun! Our weather is unbelievable! We recently had snow but thankfully that has disappeared. I look forward to welcoming back the Sun in good old London!
