Through A Child's Eyes

My Daddy will be pleased with me, I've made him lots of dough,
a gentleman knocked on the door and seemed quite pleased to know
that I was there just on my own, he had a nice big grin
and said my dad had asked him round and could he please come in?
He said that Daddy had for sale the laptop and TV,
he gave me five whole pounds for them, Dad WILL be pleased with me.
Poem by Jabo.

Oh lordy, now that would be considered an 'oopsie-poopsie' @jaboUK . I'm sure Dad would be glad that you were left behind by the gentleman (in today's world), so no spanking for you. That was funny .

Ha ha! I'm sure that Daddy was very surprised ... but, perhaps, not so pleased as the child thinks!

Reading through the comments it's funny that everyone else seems to have found it highly amusing! I don't find it hilarious at all, I can really feel the child's awful fear when they realise what they have done, not to mention the parent's despair that they have lost hundreds of pounds worth of equipment that they may not be able to afford to replace, and may really need. It makes me feel awful!
