Be a gift.

The Nativity scene at the entrance of St. Luke's Medical Center shows the Solemnity of the Epiphany, more popularly known as the Feast of the Three Kings or the Three Magi or the Three Wise Men, which we commemorate today, the 7th of January. I heard Mass at the Shrine of the Divine Word.. In the Homily, the priest explained that the visitors were not actually kings. They were garbed like kings because they probably were court advisors, wise in ways that most likely led them to follow the Star of Bethlehem. Today we are asked to follow the star and bring gifts of caring and love to someone. Define one's self as a perfect assist to anyone who needs the gold, the frankincense and the myrrh. Be a gift.

I cannot be a gift to everyone thought I wanted, and all I can give is prayers for the world.

Bhem, I prayed for my family this Christmas, and the people I care for, like the elderly who are alone, unattended, in their eighties and not as healthy any longer. I asked for my petitions to be granted- the children, the homeless, the displaced, the poor, and many more. Most pervading in my prayers is you. I prayed again and again that our loving God give you the miracle you need so you could be a blessing to others totally and completely. Please advise me when the miracle happens. I will have to say thanks.

A blessed Epiphany to you, Mavic. That happens all the time. When you give, you receive. I give what I can, like, instead of purchasing new clothing, I buy loaves of bread for others. My sister in America sent me a box full of clothes. A happy and prosperous 2018 to you, too.

I try to be a gift each day. It is so wonderful to see the joy and love on the faces of others when you make a gift of yourself each day. If more people did this think of the kind of world we would have!

Wow. I have one more angel in mylot. Toni, from Les Miserables: when you love another person then you've seen the Face of God. Loads of cheers for you.
