I learn it has been so cold in America from TV news. Hard to believe that even Niagara Falls get frozen. The weather has been extreme as I heard it even snows in Florida. The good news is it seems the weather will be getting warmer in the coming days.

This is not the first that that the Niagara Falls freeze. It already happened in years 1885, 1906, 1902, 1911, 1932, 1936 and 2014. As you see not very long ago, but people easily forget.

@youless there is definitely quite a bit up here in Canada. And we're due to get some more too. Hopefully, not too much, but oh well. We're used to it.

Last night I was able to talk to my family because I was worried about the snow storm in New Jersey but they told me it was only one day but still very cold there.

Fortunately they still have heating system indoor. It is so important that the electricity is still available in such a bad weather.

I was there this weekend, they are not completely frozen. Most of the falls on the US side are, but there is still open water, and all of the Horseshoe Falls, which is in Canada are open with ice at the bottom.

It must be very cold for it to freeze like this but it is not uncommon! A few years ago there was still snow there when I visited in the middle of May. I would like to go to the Harbin ice festival it must be wonderful to see!

I live very near the falls and I've seen the ice, it is awesome, The water is still going over the falls but the ice just gets bigger and bigger.
