Annoyed! That is how I feel now. I woke up and stood at 4:50am and did my usual morning routine. I waited for the transport from 6:35 to 6:50 and when I thought I can't take a ride I told my son to wake my brother up to drive me to the hospital. When my son went back to me,saying my brother will drive me,a public transport was coming so I told my son that I will ride on the jeepney. I was hurrying since it is the first duty day and it is Monday, only to find out there were no students yet but just 1 colleague Miss Cata. Then came 2 students. Student LD said to me,"Ma'am, those under you think you are on PM shift ". I told them we should be on AM shift on Mondays and Tuesdays, and PM shift on Thursdays and Fridays. I then called up the clinical coordinator and he confirmed I am on pm shift the whole week. I was informed beforehand about the AM-PM shifts that is why I am so annoyed because our Clinical Coordinator did not inform me of the sudden change of my schedule. SO ANNOYED!

I would be annoyed too. You could have slept longer and the fact that they did not tell you is bad.

@ridingbet You are right and have a valid reason. The communication should be crystal clear!

@DianneN miscommunication can always result if the exact message is not properly conveyed.

Yes it always happens to me and even to my colleagues. Yesterday afternoon I talked to our clinical coordinator and he gave me the most valid reason. I understood but still I told him that communication should be crystal clear. I am the spokesperson of the entire part-time instructors and the concerns of others, I tell to our CC.

Now that's a total miscommunication. Somebody should be held responsible for that.

Yesterday another colleague Miss FCT also expressed her concern to the CC. Last Friday she came for 3-11 shift only to find out that she was on 11-7 (night)shift. Again the CC apologised for the miscommunication.

@toniganzon i definitely agree with you. how i wish we, part-time clinical instructors, will also have the opportunity to evaluate our higher-ups in our office so we can air our grievances.

This is not the first time that your coordinator miss to inform you of the changes. It is extremely annoying.

@LadyDuck yes, i agree. i hope our clinical coordinator will also send us our own private messages and not rely on our students to remind us about activities in school and our duty.

I arrived in the hospital yesterday afternoon at 2:20pm. I really waited for the CC and we talked. I told Mr. FMD to always communicate with us like sending us SMS messages and not on our closed group on FB. He congratulated me after our talk, shook my hand and said," Ma'am you are the highest in the evaluation of the students ".

I understand your annoyance, it is very frustrating to not be informed of changes in schedules and a waste of your time. I hope all communication will go smoother in future.

i really hope so too, my friend. i talk straight to the point, sometimes seen as brutally frank, but i just say my own piece. i don't know if it is good or bad, but i don't hide my emotions.
