Good afternoon. What was the last thing that you bought change your life? Interesting question? For me it was this morning.I went to Michael's to get some water color stuff. I am not sure if going to be good at this.I was shocked of the prices. The tube paint that I want 89.00 dollars. Then the brushes were about the same prices.Well I am not going to pay these prices. I was disappointed and on my way out I saw water color tube for five and brushes for five dollars each.Yes they were made in China. I am amateur so will work this.If I feel maybe this is for me then will up grade my technique does this make sense to you. I do hope that this will change my life? Photo online

Oh yes start with the cheaper stuff then if you are really taken with it then invest as you see fit. Why not! Good choice and great therapy!

I bought a rice steamer which I love, and use all the time, it makes great oatmeal in just 15 minutes.

I also bought those Chinese brushes and color tubes, they are pretty good, there is no reason to pay more while we learn.

Painting will give you a chance to express your individual self. Hope you'll post a picture of your first work of art

I agree with you. I would have stuck with the cheap Made in China paint and brushes. You can always upgrade if you're painting is good.

I did very little painting, when I expressed myself on paper. You will probably do wonderful, have you ever painted before? My neighbor was a gifted artist, she helped me learn a tiny bit about art. I ended up liking to sketch, best of all. I don't draw very often now, but have always loved different types of art-work. The last thing I bought that changed my life, was Kobe, my dog companion and friend.

You sound a LOT like me when I'm trying something new! I don't like spending a ton of money on a few supplies. I'm even that way with setting up my bear business again. I'm getting most of my supplies on line or at the thrift shop. The reference books I needed I bought from Amazon for under five bucks a book. Each one retailed for between twenty and forty dollars each! What's nice is eventually I'll be reimbursed for them by the power company. You'll love painting with water colors. I'd check eBay and Amazon and see what kind of supplies they have for what kind of price. Hummm, come to think of it, I am cashing in the recyclables that I get cash for and I can use the money for something fun. Thanks for the idea! You need to check out eBay and Amazon and see what they have in art supplies.

While I am pondering this question, I suddenly look back at what did change my life. The last thing that I bought is a laptop and had changed my life. It had changed because I started to earn money by teaching online.
