Asking for prayers for a friend

Hi, everyone. I just wanted to take a moment and ask that everyone say a prayer for my friend Karen. She is going to have surgery on her spine in February and even though she has only been my friend since June 2017, she has become like a mother to me. I ask for the prayers because with past experience (my sister had back surgery and I helped her recover), I know that it will be a long recovery. I'm asking for prayers that the surgery goes smoothly and there are no complications with her recovery like there was with my sister. (Her wound opened back up and we had to keep packing it.) I'm also asking for prayers for her because I just found out that she has no one to help her through the recovery. Her last surgery, on her throat, her aunt was supposed to help her but only drove her home from the hospital. Me and my daughter are hatching a plan to make sure that she has all the help she needs. I'm going to go and help her while my daughter is in school and then while I'm at work, my daughter is going to stay with her and keep her company. I'm also on the lookout to make things easier for her when both me and my daughter will be unable to be there to help her. I'm trying to find water jugs, already filled, with a water spout so that we can put them on the counter and it will be easy for her to get water. If I can't find them already filled, I'm going to buy her a few of the empty ones and go fill them up for her every day if need be. Thank you for anyone that says a prayer for my friend Karen. It means more than you know.

@peachpurple she’s good. A little worried about everything. I have a whole list of stuff I want to get done before she has surgery. My daughter and I are going to go over before her surgery and help her get her apartment ready, make things easier for her. My daughter is also going to hang out with her after surgery when I’m at work and help her around. I’m also looking for those water jugs with spouts that are already filled. No luck so far but we have a few weeks to find something.

Thank you so much! Even if she had people to help her, I think I would still lend a hand.

Prayers indeed are very powerful. I will surely include her in mine. You got a kind heart God will bless you for that and also does this Karen doesn't have a family? perhaps some relatives to accompany her?

She has a son and daughter however the daughter has "disowned" her and refuses to have anything to do with her. I think she has a brother but he lives in another state. The only other relative around here is her aunt and the only thing she's willing to do is to drive her home from the hospital. The last time Karen had surgery, her aunt let her out at the curb and said see ya. She is one of the nicest ladies I have ever met and honestly, I don't make friends easy but I'm glad Karen came into my life when she did. She is the light that helped me find my way during a dark time. So in return, I am going to help her in anyway I can. Even if that means cutting back on my job so I can go and hang out with her on certain days.
