I happened to watch this movie on Netflix.I had not read any reviews of this movie earlier .
'' In Holt, a small Colorado town, Addie Moore (Jane Fonda) pays an unexpected visit to a neighbor, Louis Waters (Robert Redford). Her husband died years ago, as did his wife, and in such a small town they'd been neighbors for decades, but had little contact. Their children (Matthias Schoenaerts and Judy Greer) live far away and they are all alone in their big houses. Addie seeks to establish a connection, and make the most of the rest of the time they have. ''(IMDB)
The suggestion made by Jane Fonda in the beginning IS unusual and may seem odd.But this is a beautiful film which most seniors will appreciate.We have Robert Redford and Jane Fonda together acting their age.
Good movie with good acting and good Direction.
Warning-- Not for people looking for thrills and action.It is a gentle,beautiful story about loneliness,old age,friendship and yes.. love.

Yes,it is sad.But then,in most cases that is what happens in real life.No Hollywood ending.

@silvermist Two really good actors. I just watched another movie on Netflix with Redford and Jennifer Lopez called an Unfinished Life. It's a fairly good movie.

I have to thank you.I had intended to watch Unfinished Life and forgot the name.I should always note down the names of the movies I want to watch.The film has Morgan Freeman too.Moreover it was directed by Lasse Hallström who directed films like- Chocoat ,Hachi and A Dog's Purpose.
