Crossing the river was not so easy

I crossed a 1km long river a few days ago.Crossing the river was not so easy.There was water flowing at very high current and there was dept of water in the river.The main thing was I had not swum such distance for months but the good thing was I was in a group so I always have the option to ask for a help.Initially, I was feeling chilled everything was going alright.But in the middle, it was very tough.The depth of water was maximum and I was getting tired.I was afraid a bit.But luckily there were some friends of mine who boosted my enthusiasm and I somehow managed to cross the river.It was too much fun.I really enjoyed it.
