Remembering not because you care but because you need.

There are some people who sometimes remember you only when they need something from you and not because they genuinely care. I experienced this a lot with my relatives and some friends from my home country. I feel disappointed and hurt. They usually start the conversation with Hello and How are you but they always end up wanting some cash. It is ok if they do it once, but when they some of them become abusive. They think that I always have money because I now live and work abroad. They don't know how hard I earn that money. I work my butt up until midnight everyday. You are a very good person to them when you can give them what they want but when you cant they say bad things about you. I am like a human credit card to my relatives back home. I apologize for ranting here in myLot. Writing the things you don't want to say verbally, makes me feel better. Thank you myLot

I know such a situation from other people who come from poor countries and work abroad. If they fulfilled all the wishes their relatives have, they wouldn't have money of their own anymore. Some relatives have completely unrealistic ideas, others are clearly insolent.

This is very true. very true indeed. You think someone is check up on ou but they end up asking for somehthing. when i realize you are that kind of a person, i refuse to even pick your calls.
