It depends on how mad I am when I say it, it works sometimes and then other times my daugher just looks at me like I am dumb and she should be the one telling me this.

Nope because I have always told my son that "Because I said so!!" is not a valid reason. Maybe that was my fault, but he didn't fall for it the first time I used it and then he started trying to use it.

sometimes it dont work for my kids. kids now a days are very smart, u cant say 'bcoz i said so' to persuade them. u have to explain why and when they understand why, they will surely obey and surely will remember it... it will work also when u want to gain their respect and obedience.

Dr. Benjamin Spock said in his book "Baby and Child Care" that when parents use this line it means that they really have no reason. When my Dad said no, he usually explained why. It didn't make me like his decision but I usually respected it.

It totally works for me as long as I follow it up with "Do you want me to tell your father?" or because I will go get the belt.

Depend on what type of mood I was in and what the situation is. They would respond with both reponses. I try to use it only on the serious ones but sometimes just slip out.
Just tell her that this time maybe you did not mean it but next time you will.

works on mine..they look at me like "Ohh crap..moms ticked off!" and the avoid me like the plague..lol
