My Car Is At The Shop

A few days ago, I tried to start the car but all it did was whine. After I got back into the house, I called the auto repair shop and left a message about what the car was doing. Today, after I had missed a call from the shop, I called back and told the mechanic what the car did. He said he would call the tow company to come pick up my car for him. I am waiting for another call from the mechanic (which will be tomorrow) and will find out then how much damage will be done to my wallet. I'm certain that the starter is bad. In the meantime, I'm stuck here at home.

I’m so sorry. Those starters are pesky brats....not cheap, either.

Yeah, They can be. Thing is, I had the starter previously changed not even a whole year ago.

@bluerubymoon53 — is it still under warranty, or is it a typical car part (“Oh, too bad, that warranty expired two days/23 miles ago”)?

@FourWalls Usually, an individual part like that has either a 30, 60, or 90 day warranty when purchased at auto parts stores.

I hope that there will be not much that damage to our wallet. You definitely need the car

You are right about me needing the car. There wasn't too much damage done to the wallet. At least the bill wasn't way out of range for me.
