No that isn’t the temperature outside. That’s the temperature of my classroom. The heat has been broken for 2 weeks now and, after a nice cold weekend, the room is back to meat locker status.
The room is used every single class period of the day. Seems that administration has no problem with teachers and students sitting in an unheated room for 2 weeks (so far) during winter.

Should that not be a legal violation or something? Unfit conditions for children.

That is ridiculous I think they should find another room for you to use even if its something like moving the desks to a portion of the gym. That is to cold for anyone to sit in a room like that. Students won't be able to pay attention if they are freezing!

Thats crazy that you and the students have to suffer in a classroom that's so cold.

That's unfortunate and here that would be considered unfit conditions and the school could get in a lot of trouble if one of the kids goes home and tells a parent and they report it

Wow that is really cold! I'm sorry, that is awful. My kids would have 2 weeks off school if I was the parent-not right at all.
