How Cold is Cold?

Everybody knows that I live in Texas. Did you see the weather for us down here? Ice, snow and freezing temperatures and I'm halfway between Dallas and Houston. It is 22 degrees (-5.55 c) but feels like 9 degrees (-12.77 c) because of the wind. The high here 'might' make it to 29 degrees (-1.66 c) but I'm not counting on that.
I still have to go out and attend to the donkeys yet which will mean taking a hammer and breaking up the ice in their water tubs and giving them hay. I'm sure they're hiding under some trees out in the pasture and they're covered with ice instead of being under the lean-to that I built for them. The ding-a-lings. It's a good thing donkeys grow winter coats.
We're suppose to get back up into the 50's (10 c) by Friday; and that ain't soon enough in my book.

Holy smoly that's CCCOOOOOLLLLLLDDDDD and here I'm complaining cuz it's only 32 at 9:25 am, too blasted cold for me. I thought I would go out and about this week but if it's this cold I'm staying home til thursday, it's supposed to get back up to 50 by then.
I sure hope the donkeys are ok.

Oh yeah, it is absolutely bitter out there @rebelann . I think I'd be happy if it got up to 32; well maybe not. I want the 60's again. I'm about to bundle up and go do the do with the donkeys.

I think that people get used to the climate of the place they live. I cannot imagine myself living months with snow and for me 0°C for a couple of hours in midwinter is terrible. But most of the people where I live don´t have central heating.

I remember after leaving Nebraska; where it's frigid for at least 4 months of the year, and moving to Texas, that the winters here were nothing compared to Nebraska. Now that I've been here for 20 years, even 40 degrees ticks me off. @marguicha .

That is very, very cold for me already. We are also experiencing coldness here in our country because of the tail end of the cold front. I would wrap myself from head to toe with a thick blanket and no electric fan. Although my hubby would still sometimes switch one the electric fan and I would really wrap myself well with the blanket.

I've heard that donkeys ban together, like chickens do. They are pretty durable, as long as they have plenty of fresh water and food.

bad weather! Just one hope to feel that kind of weather!Just knowing freezing in refrigerators.Here always sunny good for sunbathing.
