Where did the days off go?

I had a three day weekend, and sadly, it’s about to come to an end. I work tomorrow. Why must weekends come and go so fast? I guess I just have to accept the inevitable and go back to work.
I spent my days off doing absolutely nothing. I got to catch up on some TV shows mostly. Maybe I'm doing it wrong. Maybe I should spend my days off being adventurous. Doing various activities throughout the day. Would it make my days off seem longer? Are days off meant to be spent resting or active? How do you spend yours?

I always long for a weekend where all I do is binge-watch or do a movie marathon but all the things I put off from the previous days suddenly have managed to pile themselves up through to the weekend. So, my binge-watching never actually happens. It's just chores after chores after chores.

The only time days don't go quickly is when you're not enjoying yourself. It seems to be one of those weird laws of the universe.
