Free Apps with options to buy additional features is like a con game of sorts.

You don't get anything for free. Remember what I just said here. If nothing else, be aware of the many free apps that offer extra in-app purchases to make the app better, more fun and fundamentally not free which is the motivation that lures us into paying more than we originally bargained for. If you ever see an ad that tells you something is FREE. Think twice before going through with the purchase. Below is an article that gives more insight on this topic. also take a look at this link. https://www.cheatsheet.com/gear-style/apps-biggest-ripoff.html/?a=viewall There are more references to in-app purchases but hopefully this sheds some light on the subject to promote more discussion.

Yes, I always notice when you use a supposed free app like Spotify music for example it is not commercial free. You have to pay for the upgrade. That's where they get you!

Yes, @dgobucks226 , It is true. I won't name names but I'm sure you know some of the main ones that do this.

Well in some cases there is an even exchange. I would certainly not spend a lot extra for all those in-app purchases. I would prefer to buy a complete application or app that has all the features without buying extra add-ons to it. In many cases they refer to these add-ons as program expansion packs.

“Hey, download this for free! Now, do you actually want it to work????” It reminds me of a joke Robert Klein used to have about buying tires: the price they quoted didn’t include all of the other things, like mounting them, etc. “Do you want us to put them on for you? That’ll be an extra $50.” “No, thanks, I’ll eat them here.”
