My youngest sister use this word to be sweet to my brother. They are best friends and I see how sweet they are to each other. We are not sweet to each other and I wonder why even though I take good care of her so much when she was a toddler. She will say "Fluff" do you miss me? or Hi Fluffy. What words do you use to be sweet to your family members?

My parents and older brother informally call me "Karay", which, doesn't mean anything at all. My younger one though calls me "Atedoy". Ate is of course, older sister. And "Doy" actually means "little boy". The story behind it is that, when he was just learning how to talk, he keeps hearing everyone calling him "Doy". And he thought that was an automatic suffix for everything. He started calling my mom MAMADOY, PAPADOY, KUYADOY. For some reason, the ATEDOY stuck and everyone, including my little cousins and my ex-boyfriend's nieces, started calling me the same. Fluff is a really sweet word.

@averygirl72 yeah, it's silly. I think that was the name of a mentally ill lady who was homeless and roamed the streets begging for money. Calling me that definitely doesn't sound very right.

Sorry but terms of endearment is something you will never ever hear from any of my family.

@averygirl72 Most people do invent those but in our family we are not comfortable with giving names or even terms of endearment. My uncle asked me a long time ago what I call my boyfriend or do I call him honey or what, I said I don't call him any names other than his own.

@toniganzon My parents don't use any terms of endearment like honey or sweetheart I heard from the neighbor. It's just my sister who likes to use those words

Were not that close to my siblings, not as close as friends I treat before. They are my elder brothers in the family.
