Snow days

Aberdeen, North Carolina

I'm in North Carolina which is definitely not equipped to handle snow. Yesterday, it snowed and so today the snow is still thick on the ground. Local schools have been cancelled. I homeschool my kids so it's not an issue for me. I have to go in to work later today. I took an extra shift before I knew how crappy the weather would be. Originally the forecast called for today to be 54 and sunny. That has now changed. I don't want to go to work. I should have just stayed off today like I was originally scheduled to be but I wanted to actually reach 40 hours this week. Oh, well. At least it is a short shift.

In North Carolina and many of the other south eastern states snow causes huge problems. We are better equipped to face the snow. There is ample snow removal equipment on the roads. I. The event that the storm is worse than normal...communities share their resources,

Yeah when I lived in NY or NJ, the streets would be salted long before it began to snow. This is our first winter here in NC so schools have been canceled two days in a row

My daughter lived in North Carolina for about 10 years. They went through this same thing, at times.
