Sitting here trying to get comfortable on the sofa sleeper my boy friend has for a couch I keep wondering. ..what kind of person will go through a person's burned down home? I live in a gated community where the home owners are investigated before they're elected into the community. It's all done legally with the potential owners knowledge. We have, or should I say "had" a wonderful group here. I discovered yesterday that someone has been on my home site, without my permission, and going through the burned out remains of my home. They have been busily taking things from the site, and going through searching for things of value. I walked the site the best I could because I had noticed differences in the way things were situated. I have been through enough pain the last few months with my house burning to the ground, losing my beloved fur babies, losing EVERYTHING I owned including all my business supplies...all I had left were the clothes on my back and my purse. I am eventually homeless except that my boyfriend took me in. If knees to go somewhere I have to depend on him because my car was destroyed in the fire too! It had four brand new tires on it that we had put on the week before! Now some son of a rabid stinking skunk has to scavenge on my home site! They couldn't even ask for permission! If they had asked I would have said yes! Instead its much better to inflict more pain, rub salt in the wounds, to thumb their noses at a person who tries to help others more than she should. I hope the few dollars they get for the scrap is worth all the pain they inflicted!!!

Have you tried filing any charges for someone going thru your stuff like this, or asked the others who live in homes around there? This is not right at all. Sounds like you have some mean spirited people who don't care about anyone but themselves.

My gosh! I can't even imagine losing all of this in a fire. Good to hear you have a good man for a boyfriend. It seems that now days some people will take advantage of any situation to steal valuables. It is sickening.
