I have come across people who like Chinese,Japanese,Italian or Mexican cuisine. Are you familiar with any Indian dishes?There are some tasty Indian dishes both savory and sweet,Vegetarian and Non-vegetarian..All dishes are not spicy. Yes! I`m familiar with Indian dishes My husband loves most of Indian dishes with curry I tasted Indian dishes at the downtown buffet Indian restaurant and I love their Chicken Curry like in your photo with basmati rice I also love the potato curry

So now it is easier to get Indian dishes.But have to be little careful in choosing them,if one does not like spicy dishes.

@m_audrey6788 he generally surprises us with differences every time. Regardless of what he makes everyone eats it and do happy dances while waiting! He has it simmer most of the day and its like dinner should so be allowed early!

No,that is a myth.We have spicy,medium spicy and mild and almost sweet dishes.Butter chicken,both vegetarian and non-vegetarian kormas,Palak paneer,etc are mild.We have many sweets and kheer.Basmati rice dishes like Pilaf is not spicy.You can pair it with mild butter chicken.

I love eating Indian food (being an Indian). I wish I had not stopped eating non-vegetarian food but my daughter wanted me to be a vegetarian.

@silvermist Yes, I am a complete vegetarian now and my wife who is a born vegetarian was with me all the time. We shall be back in 3rd wk of June and we have number of Indian stores with Indian items available everywhere in Australia.

We both love Indian food. I like Lamb Vindaloo a lot, some curries (not too hot) and the Naan is wonderful. There are two very good Indian restaurants here.

Indian is gaining in popularity in Australia. I usually have I think it's a masala. At least it isn't a spicy dish.

@JudyEv No,generally butter chicken here is also mild.There are many dishes using coconut cream,yogurt etc which are not spicy.Here also in many of the star hotels,they have more mild dishes.

That is good.Sometimes tasting a spicy dish may put one off from Indian dishes permanently.

@silvermist The thought of hot curries put me off but once I found something I could eat without too much trouble I was happy to go to Indian restaurants. Butter chicken is another dish I enjoy. I don't know if they 'dumb' some of the dishes down for those who aren't accustomed to 'hot' foods.

@nela13 I do not know whether you like spicy dishes or non spicy ones.You can try butter chicken (which is not spicy) with Nan or vegetable Pulao.

I love Indian cuisine. I think I've tried everything at least once. My husband can't stand the smell of curry, but I force him to eat Indian, and he enjoys it. lol
