I Am Ashamed To Say I Lost My User's Name! Hello everyone. I am embarrassed to say that I couldn’t remember my User’s name to sign in to this site. The name itself was okay but the numbers is what was so troublesome! So, Happy new year to one and all. Last year my family and I were attacked by three masked bandits at gunpoint while a fourth waited in a getaway car! It was a home and business invasion attack. We were tied up and lost stock, monies, gold jewellery, phones and computers. I lost 2 phones and 2 computers with all my data stored in it. Off course, the 25th will make it 1 month since the attack and the police has YET TO TAKE A STATEMENT. Anyway, I am just happy to be back and I hope the welcome will be just as warm!

I am so sorry for what happened to you. The police does not seem very efficient in taking care of the matter. Welcome back to myLot and happy new year to you.

Thanks Anna. Happy New year to you too. Yes, we have grown accustom to police inactivity. Same old, same old...

@LadyDuck Ana, the police are sometimes the informant behind the crimes. In this case, they don't even have the equipment to take a descent finger print.

That is so scary what your family went through! I am glad none of you were hurt! I did not realize you were here at mylot before I assumed you were a new user since your numbers are lower and I didn't recall seeing you around before lately. I was here 10 years ago for years then I deleted all my posts and left when the site stopped paying. I came back when they started paying and have been here since.

That is correct you will not lose any earnings from deleting your posts or comments but the number by your name will go down and ask will others who had commented on your post. Not a big deal though about that. It's surprising that a lot of people do go back and comment on old post so since I returned and had my fresh start as I will call it I do not delete any posts.

The robbery didn't hurt us physically but we suffered psychologically and economically. It has resulted in some lifestyle changes too. I spook easily now ...and I still want the Lord to smite someone! I was using a different picture but now I have put a recent one for me. My discussions were over 80 or so but I deleted them because my earning gauge was dropping money every few days. So I clean house a bit. Then my other site demanded my time and I stopped coming when my PayPal was not allowing me to cash out. So I stopped. Actually, we know each other. We were writing on each other's post. It is my policy now to delete all my post to keep it under 50 or so. So every time I post, I delete one. I was told this do not affect the earning rate. I hope to devote quite a lot of time to this site now. I have never really settled down. I wonder what will happen if I do that?

@allen0187 We are trying ti do so. But if the bandits are determined there is no keeping them out.

Thanks for the sympathy. I don't think we'll get anything back...especially not the cash or the jewelry. We suspect the police will help themselves to that too. But I am willing to be proven wrong. As for the persecuted part, that's very doubtful. Robbery is now a lifestyle here...because parents fail their children...or teach their children as the case may be.

Yes, the attack was horrible and the loss was great. But we are thankful for life and getting away relatively unhurt. God was with us. We hope everyday that they will be caught or killed but we know we will never get back anything. The hardest part is not knowing where a threat will come from. We are trying to build back and save again. We were in the middle of house building so that will have to wait a few years again. Pity.

While we were attacked, there was only a sense of disbelief. A week later reaction set in and we became jumpy at every little noise. The police in Trinidad do not surprise us...sometimes the police ARE the bandits. We never expect anything much from them except to record the event. And as I said, they can't even take a statement ...1 month 7 days now.

Wow, I thought your post is just about your lost username but there's something more to it and it's horrible. I guess Trini needs someone like Duterte :) - just kidding. I am reading your replies and it seems like cases like yours will just pass by because police don't care. To them, your case is just another robbery that will soon be forgotten. If you will not be able to get back what you've lost, this means you have to start over again? I assumed it would be hard but at least you know already how to start and if you missed any part while you were starting then you can add it up to your plans, I mean business wise. Prioritize protection of you and your family as you never know when these guys will pop up again. However, the most important thing right now is that you and your family is safe. BTW, Welcome back! I am new but just as everyone is telling you welcome back so I am also greeting you the same :)

@Gita17112016 You should change all your passwords from emails and so on to be safe as your account might be open to some of the sites and that's dangerous.

I am so sorry for what happened to you. I was robbed three years ago, but I wasn't home and didn't lose anything of value. The police came, but as far as I know they never caught the person or person who vandalized my home and emptied all the drawers and left the refrigerator and freezer doors open. I didn't discover it until I got there the next day, since I wasn't living there full time yet. It must have been terribly frightening for you, and it must be frustrating to believe there is no desire on the part of the police to catch the crooks. I'm glad you are OK.

That's just beyond horrible. So, have you reported this to the authorities, what was the result of their investigation. This is something I strongly like to avoid which is why we have a dog. That's the worst 2017 I could tell you. Better improve the security of your house. And I"m glad that you're alive, I couldn't believe you went through that horrible ordeal

They haven't taken a statement yet? That's insane. That should have been the first thing they did. I hope they find the people who did that to you. So horrible. I am glad no one was hurt. Welcome back. I'm glad you remembered it to get back in here.

Nope, Trinidad police do not do things like take a statement...it happened 15th Dec and today it will be 1 month and 7 days!. The police just call and cancel taking a statement. I doubt anyone will be caught. They police told us to stop watching CSI (Crime Scenes Investigation) because that isn't real. We are grateful to God we came out of it alive. Thank you for the welcome back. So happy I found my way back.

Hi ARM, the police is moving at top speed. Personally, I predict a year will pass before they take the statement. We didn't feel scared while it was happening...too unreal. But things got worse about a week later, We are so jumpy and scared and rattled that we are virtually living in a cage. The aftermath is hell. The hardest thing to bear is that we can't pin-point an enemy so everyone is now the enemy. Some serious psychological damage. And for that I hope the bandits get killed...sorry but that;s how to deal with pest. Only I cannot bring myself to kill anyone. And the police is such a let down.

We are slowly recovering. That's the hardest part...picking up the pieces. We are still waiting for the police to come and take a statement yet. It happened on Dec 15th. We have called and reminded them, even said we'll come to the police station. But they said the'll visit home. They say they don't have the time.I don't think they'll capture anyone. And to tell the truth, we have no expectations.

Definitely not "Like"! I don't know you, only stumbled across this because an old e-friend left a comment on it, but am glad your family survived. Hmm...I don't plan to visit this site daily, but will "following" help the teeny-weeny payout grow faster?

Thanks, I think. Appreciate your good will. Hmm, no, the 'teeny-weeny-payout' only grow when you visit and leave a comment. Some of the older heads say they can earn as much as 15.00 - 30.00 a month. I have only earned 5.00 so far.Good luck, then.
