Innovative New Amazon Store In Seattle WA

I just heard something very interesting on HLN Morning Express. An actual Amazon STORE opened in Seattle Washington. It's not a huge department store, more like a little convenience store. Still, the concept is new and interesting. Before entering the store, customers download an app (not sure if it's the Amazon app, or a special Store app affiliated with Amazon). They scan their phones upon entry, take stuff off the shelves they want, and leave! No check outs, no self check outs, no lines, just grab and go. The store knows what you've taken, and they charge you accordingly. I see a few advantages and disadvantages to this. Pros -Convenience! -No Lines -Not having to make small talk with the cashier Cons -Random people throwing stuff in your cart as a joke (I know someone who would go in there and toss a box of condoms into every cart just for fun, or tampons in guys carts LOL) -Kids tossing candy and other kid things into their parents carts -Buying $1,000 worth of groceries without even stopping to think! What do you think of this new idea? Is it a good one, or a bad one? All in all, I think that as long as people shop responsibly, it's a great idea! I'd have to know a bit more about how it's going to work, and how it would address the disadvantges, before I would shop there.
