How should we deal with a person who takes undue advantage of us? / myLot

Some people take undue advantages of others. It may be a friend or a relative. People take advantage of others in different ways. Some borrow money from others promising to return but never return it back.They don't return it deliberately. Some relatives asks to help them in household chores, but when they come and stay with us,they never help us. How should we deal with such people.Should we handle politely or rudely, when they do it every time.

The best way is when we help others, we should not expect help in return. That is real kindness. But when it comes to a borrowed money or debt, that's a different story. It should be paid. And if the person doesn't pay. Just let it go, just don't let the person borrow again from you. Money can be earned anyway.

That's where people skills come in. Sometimes you have to put your foot down. You try to be polite at first and if that doesn't work, the foot goes down and tell them a really firm no.

I don't let anyone exploit me for any matter. You cannot be taken advantage of unless you allow it. Sometimes you just need to have your voice and assert your self. Learn to say NO but choose your battles wisely too.

I did not have friends who exploited me.But relatives,yes.The only way is not letting them exploit us any more.
