That is what I read somewhere - those with frowns will soon see wrinkles on their face Do you frown at the drop of a hat? No wrinkles on my face as I am always smiling Keep smiling.

Doesn't smiling also cause wrinkles to form? I am led to believe that there is the happy wrinkles and the sad wrinkles. Happy wrinkles being wrinkles that form when you always smile, and they are actually better looking and makes your face much more presentable and a good face to look at. Meanwhile, frown wrinkles cause from not smiling too much and actually makes wrinkles that wouldn't go well with the face - so it's kind of droopy. (Haha) It's just what I think. But you are right, smiling is much better to do as it's the start of every happiness we experience. Thanks for the reminder.

@GopherDanny The 'happy' wrinkles are not called wrinkles - they are 'laughter lines'.

Those who frown will have wrinkles in between their eyebrows but those who smile will have laugh lines and there's going to be a lot. So I don't believe in smiling to avoid wrinkles. Reality bites! That doesn't work! Wrinkles are inevitable anyway.

Wrinkles do look great on some and probably they are those that are the result of smiles (lol)

@allknowing Everything looks pretty if the beholder is looking in a positive manner.

@dpk262006 I agree with you there (lol) This reminds me of a story where the king was in search of the most beautiful girl around and this woman hid her daughter. She was a victim of burns and you know what that means but for the mother she was the most beautiful.

Smiling a lot gives you 'laughter lines' which I think is really just another name for wrinkles.

Smiling/laughing also causes wrinkles or "laugh lines". Actually any repetitive facial movements be it smiling, frowning, laughing, squinting and other facial expressions are potential causes of wrinkles or permanent lines on the face in the long run. I guess they are inevitable. But at least there are some things we could do to care for ourselves to delay or reduce the appearance of these lines. But of course its always better to smile and be positive always!

There is no doubt about that. Babies cry, laugh, smile, frown........the works. We cannot possibly stop doing all this just to avoid wrinkles So keep smiling. It is good for you.

I frowned up all the time and grams warned me I would get permanent lines in my forehead, and surely enough I did. Trying everything to get rid of them.
