January Holidays

Celebrating any holiday has not been a priority for me since before Christmas. I keep my Christmas decorations up through the month of January. Usually, it is because I love Christmas and want to keep celebrating. This year, I just didn't have the energy or desire to celebrate or not celebrate. As I move through the stages of grief, I realize, life has to go on. I miss my dad tremendously, but I still have many to live for. There are many celebrations to come. Next year, I will have to do January right. These are the January holidays that I am aware of: New Years Day, Martin Luther King Day, Bald Eagle Appreciation Day, Get Fit month, Winnie the Pooh Day, and Cheese Lovers Day. Does anyone else know of any January holidays?

One suggestion, create your own January holiday. Pick a date that has special meaning to you and celebrate a created holiday. Maybe one to remember your Dad in a happy way. I wasn't aware of Bald Eagle Appreciation Day. The area I live in is a nesting area for Bald Eagles.
