When the snow on the rooftops melts away, when the grass begins to show itself once again, that's when he comes. Every year he brings life to the world. He guides the flowers which lie underground safely to the earth's surface. He gently awakens the hibernating animals and brings them their breakfast. He encourages the trees to grow new leaves to replace the ones that were lost. He welcomes the birds, returning home from their long journey, and assists those who have become lost or tired. And at the end of it all, he stands and observes his work, as proud as any father would be of his children. And he smiles as brightly as the sun. He would like to stay longer, but the sun is growing ever warmer, and he knows how much the next spirit dislikes to be kept waiting...
