Saw my ex in a local magazine

So I was flipping through a local magazine and saw an entire 3 page article on my ex boyfriend with photos and all. He recently became the branch manager for a big company and the spread highlighted his success.
We still talk casually after I broke up with him. But seeing it was kinda awkward.
I’m happy for him though. Wish everyone in life success!

It is indeed awkward seeing him in those 3 pages. Well, at least, he's successful now. Are you regretting breaking up with him?

No regrets at all. I have my own successes as well. We don’t hate each other. We just were not good together.

It is weird to see a photo or read of someone you once knew and haven't been in contact in years especially if it was an intimate relationship. It's like they are a stranger now and yet you were once with them.

Yea we were together for years. He’d done some hurtful things to me and ultimately I ended it. It’s just always awkward to see an ex. Especially in a popular magazine.
