Is killing insects wrong?

I was cleaning my garage yesterday when I found a nasty spider nest with lots of baby spiders. Every night, at least one of them spiders would try to crawl up to the living room. I was glad to find a possible source where they all come from. I wanted to take all those spiders outside so they can find another shelter, but the babies were too small and fast to catch. I just squashed them all with my boots so they wouldn’t run and hide in other places. No, it didn’t feel good. I hate killing insects but I do not want them to wander around my house. And I’m sure people from other parts of the world have nastier bugs to worry about than just spiders. Do you squash insects you find inside your home too?

I move spiders outside, we consider bad luck killing spiders. As much as I can I avoid killing insects, but I spray flies and mosquitoes if they are inside the house.

I heard about killing spiders bringing bad luck. I just killed so many little spider babies. I’m doomed. Spraying insects is the easiest way

@Madshadi I am sure you are not doomed. I should stop believing in silly superstitions.

I'm terrified of spiders! I'm even afraid to get close enough to kill them. When alone, I vacuum them up and spray poison inside the vacuum cleaner. Other bugs don't bother me, but I don't want them inside my house.

It’s good that you spray poison or they can get out or worse build a nest there

Some insects that get in my home I will take outside like lady bugs etc but most I squish. Outside I let them be but inside no way as I don't want them breeding in here.

Yes i use spider spray. I have young children so would not like them to be bitten by spiders.

That’s my main concern too. Some spider bites can be really nasty

Whenever I see cockroaches, mosquitoes, I squash them. I have no heart to them. But I just shoo the spiders because I can't squash them. I dunno. Maybe, they are unharmful to me.

Spiders would definitely escape footfalls. It’s a good way of sending them away

I am not Vegan nor Member of the Jainist religion. I dont intentionally kill insects per say. I am sure though I killed many insects whenever I eat salads. Oh I use Cricket flour on baking because I want a low fat protein source since I am trying body building.

I don't like killing them either, but I have no heart for mosquitoes.

I usually spray them. Occasionally I'll trap one under a glass then transfer it outside.

Sometimes but is never a good feeling. So I usually spray before I see any insect. I try to do something more pro active.
