Groceries on Hold

Well I've planned to do my small grocery shopping this morning. But it's much too cold for me to walk. It's 21 degrees with a wind chill of 11 and sunny out. So I've decided to stay home for the time being. Times like this, I wish I had a car. So on Monday morning, when my EBT card's reloading, I'm going to try Acme grocery delivery and only pay for the delivery fee. It's going to be another cold day on Monday for me to go out. I have enough to get me by this weekend. I'll let you know how it goes for me on Monday, after I get my groceries.
Last month, my brother and I didn't do the Curbside Express at Giant Eagle as planned. He wanted to do it, when it would be warmer. This coming weekend, it would be in the 30s. But I think he has spring in mind. Maybe a month from here--his 44th birthday--when it's warmer or later in the spring.

I believe you should try to buy a car for yourself for such times

@RitzzView Not really. That boat had sailed a long time ago.

I've thought about having groceries delivered but thankfully my daughter has been doing the shopping for me. I don't blame you for waiting if you have to deal with the freezing cold. I would spend the money for delivery too

Smart move. I think it would make sense and have extra money to splurge on after I do Target for miscellaneous items.

Better to stay in and warm if you don't have to go out.

I am so cheap I would rather shop for the items myself and save money but I do have a vehicle to drive there!
