Many researchers have found that we yawn to cool the brain. The air temperature also make us yawn. It's not only because we are tired or stress. It helps us stay alert in any situation.

Have you noticed that when you yawn, someone who you might be talking to - even over the phone - yawns as well?

I have read before that yawning is actually one way for your body to get more oxygen particularly when you are tired since you suck in more air when you yawn.

I've heard many reasons but never knew it would actually cool your brain. Sounds interesting. Where did you learn that from?
