Really?? Pick a flower

So we start doing school work, Science to be exact after doing math. We go thru the lesson. It is on plants and animal skeletons. Why they mix the two I have no clue. Anyways we get into the middle of the lesson and it says to go outside and pick a flower... LOL! Ummm there are none it is winter here, with lots of snow still. Yep we did what all sane people would do.. we skipped that and moved on.
I just dont get some of the things they do.

There's flowers blooming here, I could have mailed you one but it probably would have shriveled up by the time it got there.

And yes, we have flowers. Springtime has come early to California. It was 74 degrees here today!

We have flowers in the garden here but I don't pick them up. They don't last long anyways.
