Favorite "Queen" Songs #7 - "Little Queen"

Greetings. I am writing this while sitting next to my campfire here at Cheyenne Mountain State Park in Colorado Springs. This is the "queen" portion of my "Kings and Queens" music countdown, featuring my favorite songs with either of those in the title. We are at #7: "Little Queen" by Rock and Roll Hall of Famer's, Heart. "Little Queen" is the title track to Heart's third, and triple platinum album, released in 1977. Unfortunately for "Little Queen," the single had the misfortune of following the band's massively popular hit, "Barracuda." Although it remains a fan favorite that Heart still plays live on occasion, "Little Queen" performed poorly, stalling at #62 on the Billboard Hot 100, and #58 in Canada. Still, as I said, the song is a fan favorite, and I am a fan. I've linked to a live performance at Cal Jam I. It's worth it for their song intro alone. Enjoy! I guess you're myLotting on your phone too. So many seem to be doing that lately. It must be nice by a campfire. Don't tell anyone but Vince has bought a new top-of-the-wassa Samsung phone but we can't work out how to answer it yet! We're taking it to a neighbour today for a lesson.

Very impressive intro and one of the few bands I never hear people talk smack about.

My brother gives you an enthusiastic thumbs up, as Heart is his second favorite band (behind the Moody Blues). This is from the era of Heart I can tolerate. I never was a big fan, but man, when they turned into a syrupy power ballad band in the 80s....

I can't stand their 80's stuff. The fact that I had to play it on the radio made it even worse.

@amadeo - The van, the tent, motel rooms. We are having a good time. Kind of slow right now, most of the things that we plan on doing we have to wait until summer, but still an interesting experience.

I had the album once. Heart can do no wrong when not doing power ballads!
