An online transaction that went wrong

Do you like dealing in cash rather than pay online? Afraid? E-transactions have come to stay. In the internet age we have come to be somewhat dependent on our credit and debit cards for online purchases, paying bills etc. It is all convenient.
If you pay your bills online and realize that after your money was debited from the bank account the company says you hadn’t paid the bill, how would you feel? It happened to me. I had to pay twice. Thank God the bank said they would retrieve the transaction and prove that I had paid. I left feeling satisfied.
What about you? How trustworthy do you think online transactions have become?

No, I don't do online transactions like you said you have to pay twice, I rather go to the bank and do it. This is a good topic to discuss about.

That is not a nice thing to happen to you. I'm glad that ultimately you didn't have to pay twice. I had an experience when paying for a service where the website led me to a broken page. I got no email confirmation that the payment had gone through so I paid again. It's annoying and hopefully digital services will improve in the future.
