I have memories of watching 'Dr. Zhivago' - all was not well with us

I was just married and it was the 'getting adjusted to each other' phase where two strong willed individuals try to live under one roof. Tickets for this movie Dr. Zhivago were already booked and we did go but I could say it was not one of our best outings. Every time I listen to 'Lara's Theme' I get a flashback of that day.

I love that song. I always hear it being played by my father in his stereo before. I grew up listening and liking the music of my father and mother.

It's surprising what sometimes triggers our memories. Smells sometimes do it for me too.

Smells do that for me too. Our holiday in Kashmir when I had worn a particular perfume brings back great happy, romantic memories when I smell it again and I deliberately smell it. (lol)

Now isn't that something? I loved that movie!! Even though it was very sad. But the acting was outstanding! The film which starred the late Omar Sharif. They did a remake at a later date which I did not like at all.

@allknowing - Perhaps not many in India. But I remember when this movie hit our theaters. I went with my friend to watch it. It was very popular in the USA.

I watched that movie with my previous boyfriend , many years ago. I watched the movie again only a few weeks ago, during the Christmas holidays.

@allknowing My husband has watched it with his previous girlfriend. It was nice to watch it together. It's a good movie and I liked a lot Omar Sharif in the role of Zhivago.

But in my case each time I listen to that song it takes me back to the day I listened to that song the first time.
