Bedtime once again

While I wrote the Textbroker article I signed up for, I also baked a breakfast casserole. It has been cooling on the counter. Now it is time to cover it and put it in the refrigerator. Breakfast will be easy tomorrow. Funny, when I am writing here, I have plenty of words. I do not have to count. We have no limits, no restrictions. I write for myself, and for my friends. When I write for money it becomes more of a struggle. I use my online money for little luxuries for myself, or for things for the house. When I earn Amazon, like on Swagbucks, I use the money for gifts for others mostly. I buy books that hubby says he wants. I would like to be able to earn a decent amount online, then not have to meet a work schedule at all. I need to be flexible to take care of family members, and myself. At this time my plan is to go on the substitute list for school next fall and to work to earn money from the computer as well.

I was on reddit earlier and more specifically, on a subreddit called "beermoney". It is essentially a group of people who post about sites that they have successfully earned from. One such person summarized their earnings for the year. I have to say I am not quite sure I believe them. They had many many sites listed and had earned atleast $5.00 at each. On one site they claimed to have earned $3,000 for the year! There were no proofs though. I like when I can accumulate for amazon. I tend to use it for books for myself. You can not get on the sub list currently? I guess it is mid year...

I am working full time as a paraprofessional. When we have absent students from our caseload and they need a para in the building we cover. It has happened a ton of times this year and that is why I got the idea to do this. There are never enough subs, because the best ones get hired full time. I am taking the process backwards. My classroom where I work is one that no one wants to work in, or no one is really trained for.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I have enough credit hours to work as an emergency substitute teacher in regular ed. I do not want to be "the teacher". I provide support for students with special needs. The class I work in has the most physically challenging students and some of the most behaviorly challenging students as well. Our case load changes from year to year. My girl I work with will move on to a special self contained class at a nearby middleschool. She is low IQ in the 50s and bipolar, depressive and autistic. The student that this classroom began for five years ago is autistic, with minimal language, poor social skills, and lots of "behaviors". He is third grade this year. Our newest student this year has CP, is hydrocephalic, and is currently unable to walk or do anything for himself. He has cortical blindness as well, Kindergarten age. Teachers have so many extra responsibilities it is exhausting.

@GardenGerty What are your duties as a paraprofessional? An assistant teacher or an assistant to special needs children? Or kind of both? Would it be possible to qualify as full time teacher for that particular class? I mean, without going to school to become a teacher?

It's hard to make much online. At least that has been my experience. For me, it's only ever been pin-money.

Yes, that is why I will substitute at school, and will also look into something other than writing.

I hear that, I remember when this site had articles you could write and earn extra from, but when I checked them out, there was nothing there I was interested, or qualified to write about.

I wrote a few of those. I would like to be able to focus on more creative things, but there is always the need for money, especially since I want to remodel, add more cabinets, etc.

@GardenGerty I get that. I never felt like they were paying enough to do the research that needed to be done. Besides, I was working back then.

@ElicBxn My point of view on the research was to search through swag bucks and earn there as well. I also mostly just looked for stuff I wanted to learn about as well.

At the times of Squidoo and Bubblews I made a lot online, but I do not believe it is still possible now.

I do not think it is writing. Maybe some other tasks, or jobs. I do not necessarily need a lot.

@LadyDuck I see that all the time. There are also sites where people want to converse and learn English. I wish I knew another language.

@GardenGerty I know that there are sites where you can earn pretty well for translations. I could check and decide to join.

Making money online is not as easy as some people think. I used to make a decent amount each moth, now it has, by necessity, become more of a hobby.

I never earned enough to drop other work, but do enjoy having a paying hobby.

@GardenGerty Once Squidoo and Bubblews went bye-bye I found myself very happy that I didn't quit my job to pursue online work. I am very happy to have a hobby that makes me a little money.

I don't write well enough to do better paying sites unfortunately. I hope you are able to do really well with it as some here so. What was the breakfast casserole you made?

I am only considered average and many people say the site underpays, but I am content. My breakfast casserole was a layer of corned beef hash topped with peppers and onions and garlic and then scrambled up eggs on top. After it was baked I covered it in parmesan cheese.

Instagc.com is like Swagbucks. They have more gift cards than Swagbucks does. Grabpoints.com is another website like Swagbucks.

Meat, eggs, vegetables are usually the items, along with cheese. Hubby likes corned beef hash, so I put a bottom layer of hash. I had onions, bell peppers and garlic to put in next. I scramble up some eggs with a little milk. Baked at 350 for 45 minutes and sprinkled top with Parmesan cheese. Some of the casseroles have bread in them and my husband does not like those. I served this casserole with two mini muffins.

@GardenGerty oh. Somewhat sounds good. Minus the veggies.
