I pray they find a good home for that baby

The big headline on Yahoo is about the young woman who abandoned her baby in a Tucson Arizona airport bathroom in January. She left a note with the baby saying how she didn't know she was pregnant and that she could not take care of the baby and to please find a good home for the child. The police are looking for her. There is video tape of her. I think it is sad but at least she left the baby in a crowded place with a note. She didn't leave the child in some remote place where he could have died.
The woman, seen on security footage carrying something wrapped in a blanket and walking with an awkward gait, may have given birth in an airport bathroom in Tucson, Arizona, before leaving the child on a changing table at a family changing room with a hand

It's a shame that she felt she has no one to turn to for help. There are many agencies that would have helped her place the baby up for adoption. But, there could be a chance she's an illegal immigrant and she was afraid to go to the authorities for fear of deportation or separation from her family. As much as I didn't like seeing this situation, I am happy that she chose not to kill the baby, as may women may try to do when they feel they are in a hopeless situation. I hope the baby goes to a good home that will provide it with lots of love and affection.

I have heard of girls not knowing, even though I can't imagine not knowing being pregnant.

@LeaPea2417 .....And not having good communication with mom or others it stays a question. It really is sad. Ignorance is heart wrenching sometimes.

That is the worst thing I have ever heard. How can you abandon your baby? No matter what she should have taken it to some adoption place or something. Besides the baby needs to be checked out and needs a birth certificate. Hope they find that ditsy mom.

What does she mean, "She didn't KNOW she was pregnant?" Seriously??????? @LeaPea2417 . She could have had the baby at ANY hospital and given it up.

I have heard on few occasions some women say they didn't know they were pregnant after they give birth unexpectedly. I honestly don't know how any woman could not know they were pregnant.

@LeaPea2417 You got that right. No menstrual cycles 'should' be a clue. Swelling of the gut. Movement. Weight gain, Cravings. Delusional is a good word for her.

So sad when they do that to the little ones, what would bring a mother to do that.

If she had left her in a church, hospital, or fire station they wouldn't be looking for her. I say she did what she felt she had to. I mean do people not remember a few months ago when the high school senior had her baby, killed it, then buried it? Or the woman who had her baby in a gas station bathroom, then tossed it in the dumpster? At least this woman gave her baby a chance.

How can one leave her baby just like that. On the first place, when she had contact with a man she didn't think that she could get pregnant. Though, i admire her for not aborting rhe baby. I know.that baby will have a nuce future to her future parents. I really hope she will be adopted by affluent and caring parents.
