Biafra referendum

Nigeria

All we have been asking for is "Biafra Referendum" to allow Biafrans determine their fate. In most advanced countries like Britain that say Biafrans must remain in Nigeria, their citizens are always giving the opportunity to vote in a referendum. Why should the case of Biafra be different?

The attempt of Biafra to secede in the late 1960s lead to disaster and terrible malnutrition for millions of people. Why would any new such attempt be any different?

@indexer _When the British and other European countries colonize Africa, the middle east and other "third world countries" they partition those areas among themselves without giving any thought to tribal and ethnic diversity. All the problems that are happening in those former colonies today stem from the imperialistic arrogance and lack of foresight of their former foreign masters.

@josie_ The problem of borders at the south of Sahara was quite insoluble, it is why the freed from "the imperialistic arrogance of their former foreign masters" countries grouped inside the African Union Organization have freely decided in 1964 that the African borders would be intangibly the borders of their independence. They could have decided otherwise but probably many wars would have resulted of a division by ethnicity. There are still many border conflicts because many of these "intangible borders" have never been materialized on the ground by their "foreign masters", it would be a bit long to explain why.

A country should not discriminate a region, or this will happen.
