Just filed my taxes!

And let me say claiming a child gives you a BEAUTIFUL return. Warning: this may be TMI... Its my first year claiming a child. Usually filing taxes has me pulling my hair out. But this year I sat back, sipped my tea, and let the tax filing system do all the work. I even got a break for paying for car registration and a baby sitter. Who knew?! I plan to pay off the small amount remaining on my car, which will free up more money monthly. The rest, I am placing in my high yield savings account. Have you filed yet? Was it good or bad? What general plans do you have for your return?

Congratulations! We have to pay quarterly. Will meet with our accountant in April when we return home from Florida.

@Plethos Nice! Be careful, I heard you get taxed heavily on those when you retire. Either way I would like to open one when I started working too.

We haven't filed yet but plan to this week at some point. We will be paying some bills ahead and helping a few homeless people in town by feeding them.
