A Sneaky One She Is

When I got the tenant last night using, Tony`s phone, I mentioned I would not be back to the rental till Thursday, but that was not exactly the truth, so guess what she did? She came and got the pool table, the head board and a few other things, she left the trash as I suspected she would. BUT..... She did something else. She locked the door so she could not get back in! We had the agreement to leave that part unlocked and I locked up the main part of the house, so she could come and get her stuff and the trash. When I got finished painting for the day I texted her letting her know she accidentally locked the door but I unlocked it for her. I will see what she has in mind.... Sneaky one she is! Don't you have some kind of legal clauses in your rental contracts for this BS? At this point I would just be like goodbye biotch, never come back.

No and Yes. They have 14 days to move their stuff before I can get rid of it. BUT I cannot MAKE them take it. This makes twice I rented to her, last time she did not do this. I will never rent to her ever again.

oh no she definitely is sneaking and thinking she can beat around the bush. I hope she does not do this to you again and if she does not come for her stuff I would get rid of it if it's past the time you gave her to get it. I don't know how you do it. My dad used to be a landlord and got out of it as he was tired of people not paying him and trashing the apartments.

Goodness, she is pretty determined not to clean up. Just as you are equally determined that she should. Why not dump all the trash on her new doorstep?

That's one of the reasons we no longer own rental property. I became well educated in all the things folks try to pull.

No she is not bothering me, the more she gets the less I have to get hauled off. Me too, the 2 mall bedrooms are not finished and have paint spots, that is why he carpet but I think I will paint th floors in those rooms so later f I want to sand them down and refinish them I can. I probably will put another clear coat on before renting it.

Ahh well that does make sense see but it seems she's taking only usable stuff and leaving you to get rid of the garbage it just irks me.

You should follow her and dump all the trash in front of the door of her new apartment.

I think I would have said I wouldn't be there and waiting in one of the rooms for her to come to make sure she took the trash with her. Your a strong woman to deal with these people.

Sounds like she's lazy if she's going to such lengths to avoid taking her trash! I don't get people sometimes.

I'm so glad all our out-of-town tenants are good ones this time. I am so glad we got rid of the Ventura building. It was a constant headache and most of our bad tenants and vacancies happened there. I really don't like being a landlord.

She accidentally did it or she forgot your instruction to her not to lock the door. I think she's the one who explain it you if you see each other again.
