The electric bills that came out the first partof this month for January for many people who use electricity to heat their homes ere extremely high die more so the the extreme cold we experience for most of the moth with over 20plus days being well below normal. Many saw more than double the normal bill. A lot of the lower income families didn't know how they were going to pay and were turning to some of the local charities that generally help out were feeling the crunch when Gulf Power step up and donated over 25000 to the three main charities that do this locally and to them I commend them for their effort to help their customers. Now if only energy Services that provides gas service would have also stepped up to helps also because gas bills were also higher than normal.
