The Online Industry- What Do You Order?

The online industry has taken the world by storm. In America, more than 22 million are spending some 57 billion annually on various services. And that's not counting the rest of the world. Consumers find shopping on-line convenient. Why not? If you want flowers, a handyman, your driveway shoveled, a massage, you can find someone on-line. Let your fingers do the typing! Retailers have been feeling the effects on their businesses for years and now most are on board with websites. For myself I have ordered products from Amazon and Home Depot. I have also used grocery services like Pea Pod and Organic food delivery. So, that brings me to my question for today. Do you order from an online business? What services, products, or businesses have you used? Were you satisfied with your on-line order experience? Have you ever tried a service unavailable in the past or a bit different like mobile pet grooming or a masseuse? Source- Geico Now Photo- freepik.com/google images

I order books and DVDs from Amazon. From local companies I order online many computer related stuff (hard disks, cables, software). If I cannot find things in the stores, I order online.

I've ordered many times from Amazon - books, videos. I've ordered natural vitamins from GNC. I order my swimsuit online from swimsuits for all. I've also ordered my toner from Office Depot. So, I've done quite a bit of it online. It's easy, convenient, and in some cases, I can get points for it from Swagbucks. I've also ordered from Wal-Mart. No groceries yet though. They don't have that service here yet.

Wow, you've really taken advantage of using internet sites to find the item you need. It is easy and convenient and I've found myself utilizing the service more and more.

I usually order online stuff I can’t find in stores and stuff that’s cheaper to purchase online. My only complaint about ordering online is the delivery. Sometimes, it can take weeks to get them. At times, the courier is problematic.

To bad about the delivery. You do find some good deals on websites. I just purchased an electric toothbrush which was a few dollars cheaper than Walmart and it came with 2 brushes.

I've ordered books. We've also ordered lots of small electrical and electronic bits and pieces, car parts, watches.

@dgobucks226 Vince has just watched a video on a problem he's having with the chainsaw and said it was really helpful. We've also taken out and replaced the airbag in the door of our car which we would never have attempted once. But a tutorial made it look easy and it was. Well, relatively easy.

@JudyEv Some of the videos are extremely informative and helpful! I always use them for mechanical related do-it-yourself stuff since I am challenged in that area

I did something similar with parts when I ordered a replacement part for my stove. They even had a video on how to install it.

Online ordering is great for stuff like that.... I used it to buy a squirrel trap and it was one of my best purchases. I also order music related items. Easier than shopping in the stores.

I usually order from Amazon (most often) or Ebay. Stuff like dvds, cds, or things that are really specific that I can't find locally. (Like today I melted the plastic spoon rest on my stove, so I ordered a ceramic one, but the catch was that I wanted it to have lemons printed on it)

@dgobucks226 So very true! Stuff like older movies, certain of specific sewing notions,.... can be tough if not impossible locally

@FayeHazel I use it a lot for health related items and music. I am always downloading classic oldies and 70's stuff off Amazon.

Yes, I use Amazon also for specific items. It beats wandering around a store to try and find it, ha.

I've been shopping online for a very long time. Back in the early 2000s I used to shop at multiply and eBay. But multiply doesn't exist anymore. And there are more convenient ways to shop now other than eBay. I shopped for my craft materials from instagram and these craft materials are all imported so i couldn't buy them offline. I buy my cosmetics from Sephora and Althea Korea. I have had several experiences with buying online it can't fit in this one response.

I see from your response you are very comfortable ordering online. I was slow to use online shopping, but I do enjoy the ease of it, and have been using websites more and more for purchasing items.
