That Did Not Go As Planned

A few discussion back I mentioned going to the dump today, getting rid of all the trash left by a tenant but I made a call and asked "what time do you close?" and the man said "11:30" so I thanked him and hung up. Crap it was 10:30. I had thought they closed at 3:00.
So......
Tony asked me "A lot of it is toys and stuff aint it?"
"Why yes it is!" I said
SO....
I loaded two truck loads of toys and a few bags of clothes and took that to the donation box and a truck load to the recycle donation bins. Now all that is left is about 20 bags of trash so I want to the old home place got the big trash can and I filled it and I will set it out tomorrow, my sister told me to fill her trash can up too, so That took half of the trash, I may not have to pay to go to the dump.
Now to the old gossip witch.
The trio was out front and they seen us and scattered.
When they could not hear us out back, here they come, the old guy pretended to work on mower and she came back there to look too.
Other than that I reckon they stayed inside and watched.
I painted the small kitchen and re did a few walls that needed it in the living room and dining room. Then I helped the guy pull tthe toilet up and then we ripped out the vinyl flooring and that was nasty!
Next he will replace a few boards and lay the new vinyl and then I can paint and clean the room.
I am sure I will have the water connected and clean the siding and paint the trim.
I do love this house.

I woke up before my alarm went off. Mind you the night before I asked my husband to turn off my alarm if the roads were bad, which meant we wouldn't be going to church. Since it finally went off I thought O praise God church today as we've missed the last two Sundays because of snow. Well after I was up a little while my husband informed me that there was ice. Which meant no church! I was not happy! But I asked God to forgive me for my attitude and set to do some reading from my Bible and drank my coffee. So I read a few different things and then I came here to do some interaction with myLotters. So its 2:00pm and here I am! Have a great day!

Thats great instead of taking it all to the dump that you donated so much of it! That will save you money and time not having to haul it to the dump if you can put what's left out for the garbage collectors. Here we can put out 2 bags a week which is billed monthly or pay per bag. I choose the per bag cost so I can put out as little or as much as I want. Garbage stickers are $4 a bag and recycling stickers are $1.25 a bag.

What a hectic day and I hate when people watch so they can gossip about what's going on. Did these people get kicked out or did they just leave and not take their stuff ? I'm glad you were able to donate most of it and sorry they left you a mess to clean. I'm sure they will do the same to the next person they rent too.

Yes they will. No they moved at the end of the month, they did not use a month like it was rent, like so many try to do, they just left the stuff and she called it all trash.

How can you guarantee to rent to people who will take care of your property? Is that even possible? I get so aggravated when I move into an apartment and I am confronted by someone else's carelessness. I always leave a place in better shape than it was when I got there. I do not understand people who don't respect other's property.

That is not a guarantee, people can look super clean and put together, but they do not clean house, some hoard, some dont. Some never mop. Some never clean the bathtub.
That is why I inspect, I tell them I do not expect spotless but not filth either at the time of lease signing and when we inspect the house.

I sure didn't get as much done as you did today. I got off to a bad start because my heart kept me awake until 3 am and then a cement truck made a delivery before 7 am and beeped and roared. Luckily, I'd found a new CD of nature sounds at the other house Wednesday and had brought it home. So to get back to sleep I turned on the white noise on the side by the window and turned the ocean waves almost full blast on the night table on the other side of me. I did manage to get back to sleep, but I didn't get enough. I did accomplish my list though. I got three posts submitted to Virily, did the grocery shopping, got photos of the garden, and took a shower. I know I also did something else, but I can't remember it now.

Our job this week is replacing the vinyl flooring in our bathroom. It was ruined by the toilet leaking underneath. I'm glad you're getting that house all dolled up, for the next renters that move in. Donating those toys was a wonderful idea!

@andriaperry Oh Andria, that is terrible! You had to replace the vinyl flooring, because they peed where ever it ran! That's sickening, and at your expense of course
