This morning the sun was shining beautifully outside but it was still quite nippy. Both my wife and I have had an absolute stinker of a cold for around 2 weeks. So much so we have not been feeling too well at all. Well this morning I did feel better or so I thought. I got up showered dressed shoved a load of washing in the machine made coffee and posted on mylot whilst I drank it. One thing turned to another and before I knew it it was around lunch time. I am still off my food but my wife had something. I thought right I will tackle the kitchen and afterwards make a banana cake. Yes I cleared the kitchen out and washed down all the cupboards and put it all back all neat and tidy. Great now for the cake........erm no I was far too tired in fact felt I had done 2 rounds with Mohammed Ali. Perhaps I was trying to do too much too soon. Oh well never mind the cake can wait its not important. I will make that tomorrow. I do hate having a cold it really takes it out of you. Something that would take half an hour or so to do takes an hour and half. Oh boy never mind! I hope you have had a more fruitful day than I have!

Hope you can take it easy and get over this cold. They do tend to linger.

Take it easy. I hate having colds. That's why I try to avoid it as much as I can. I make sure I have enough vitamin C for protection.

No Gary, I had another exhausting Sunday. We went to Milan to continue to clear my mother's apartment. There was a dense fog early in the morning and I dislike being on the road with the fog. We worked about 7 hours in the apartment and finally came back home to relax.

OH dear I heard it was very foggy yesterday and apparently this morning too. I have some friends in Italy who are skiing at the moment, They just sent me a message to say it is very foggy this morning! The clearing of your mums apartment must be quite difficult Anna. Sadly it has to be done.

@garymarsh6 Today the fog is less thick, it rains a little. As you say I have to empty this apartment, the sooner the better.

Sorry to hear both of you are under the weather! Christ help and heal both of you! Take it easy. I like chicken noodle soups, mushroom soups, extra vitamin c when I get a cold and seems to help you get over it faster to me. I like to take vitamin d3 for protection from diseases too to build up your immune system. Take care and get well soon!

There are so many colds/flu going around lately, I don't really know anyone who has escaped it. I was ill for about three weeks when I got it over Christmas, and for some reason the rest of my family didn't get it. But now they've got it big time, so I hope they don't give it back to me. I hope you are over the worst Gary.

Yes I am Janet but it has been a horrible cold and lingered for just over two weeks. I know my elderly aunts have had it and they have been quite ill with it this time. Usually after a couple of days you start to feel ok but not with this one this time, OH well onwards and upwards eh!

It sounded like you had quite a productive day considering. We will be getting our flu needles soon and in the meantime we don't spend a lot of time in the middle of crowds which probably helps.

I can not take the flu jab it makes me so ill. plus I am allergic to eggs so it is not advisable to have it. I quite enjoyed it to begin with but found it increasingly tiring. Never mind I did it! Good luck with your jabs!
