BLOOPER: “Where is the LAMB?”

Let me start this discussion with a laughter. I was laughing the whole night because of such a funny moment with my online student. Before having the class session, it needs to sing a nursery rhyme. With this kid, we are going to sing “Mary had a Little Lamb.” Well, the rapport was done and conditioned the child to sing with me. As we are singing the song, he stopped and looked puzzled. I asked what’s wrong and he said, “Where is the lamb?” I checked the picture embedded in the song’s lyrics. There is no lamb at all. Well, I laughed and said, “The person who made the lesson might be sleepy and forgot to put the lamb.” I am not going to feel bad about it. The lesson was not made by me. The virtual teachers only need to execute it. “Do you have any funny moments that you can’t forget?” Image Credit: pixabay.com

You'd think that the person making the lesson would have maded sure that a lamb was included. It's an integral part of the rhyme. However, I'm glad you got some amusement out of it.

It was the company's fault this time. Sometimes this company won't listen to our suggestions. Business is a business for them. I sometimes suggest the students to call the customer service about certain issues or concerns. The bottom line, I had a fun time with the student.

Please do enjoy yourself while teaching. Without the fun, teaching would be a dreaded activity. How old was your student that you had to teach a nursery rhyme online?

The person who made the lesson made a big mistake. Characters are important to memorize the words.

I agree. It was really a big mistake. They knew that visual aids are essential for kids to learn.

@Shavkat They need to associate a word to a picture, of course it is important.

In making a passive sentence, someone said ‘ The chicken was kicked by the dog.’ Grammar-wise, it’s correct. But seriously? Lol

Your student noticing it was missing shows he pays attention to such things. I'm glad you had a good laugh over it.

It was a good laugh. I do agree with you. The child is quite observant. It is also how the child learns out of his or her curiosity over something.

That is so true. At times the sentence os incomlplete or misspelled. One thing good there you know that your student is giving attention because he noticed the missing lamb!

I agree. He is quite a slow learner. However, it was really surprised that he is an observant kiddie. I rather have him than the others who acted like they know everything.
