forty things before forty? I'm supposed to be doing my photo journal for that today as I failed to log in for several days now due to my hectic schedule. But I believe I did!

It's sad that it would take 40 years for people to deepen their relationship with God. I'm actually disappointed that the priest said that. Thank you for the greetings.

@toniganzon Well, it's not most people. I can understand why the priest said that. Some people when younger seems not into deep relationship with God yet. They are young and carefree that is why. But we can instill deep relationship with God to our children at an early age though.

Come to think of it, I haven't made a wish yet. Bring me a cake with a candle on it so I can make my wish. While I was talking to you, it was no longer my birthday in my part of the world and time...remember, I'm the girl from the future.

@moffittjc Well, last night, the 19th, I got this cake from one of our partner companies. So I lit the candle and made a wish. The only person who sent me a gift was my friend from S. Korea. She sent me two boxes of sheet mask and one ampoule. She knew what I need.

Same here, we say life begins at 40. However, seeing how people get younger and younger these days instead of getting older, some of us say life begins at 50 now and no longer 40.

@LadyDuck A lot of people here at that age are still very highly active and still doing what they enjoy doing. You couldn't even guess they're in their 50s because of their physical appearance and their activities. My 62 year old friend can go shopping at the mall with us the whole day without complaining. She's even slimmer and sexier than me. She still dances ballroom. She used to compete in dance sports internationally. Her only complain these days is she's getting fat when her waistline is just 22 and mine is 25.

@toniganzon I have to disagree, being 40 is great, once you turn 50 it's no more the same kind of life.

I want to be as happy as you when you were in your forties! I had a successful 30s and I've accomplished so much in my life. I hope I could do the same in my 40s.

@jaboUK The acquisition of wisdom is a good thing. Unfortunately, not all people get it. :-(

Thank you Cindy. I usually don't celebrate my birthday but my family and friends insisted on having that dinner party as we only become 40 once in our life.

This is true and you were probably due for a celebration too.

@cintol The last time I had a big celebration was the I was 18. And it was not my wish to celebrate either. My sisters insisted on that one.

I thought when I turned 30 that was it. The best years of my life was now in the 30s I thought. Now I have to make a new one to make it even greater. I've accomplished so much in my 30s I wish to double it in my 40s.

@JudyEv Right I've dealt with rough issues since I was very young. it has made me tough. When I became a teenager, I lost my parents. And that was 3 days after I turned 13. And many more things happened after that. It has made me into what I am now. So I hope God wouldn't throw anything to me that I couldn't handle in my life.

@toniganzon You go for it. The years will be as good as you make them - although sometimes other issues can have a pretty big impact.
