What's Behind The Eyeglasses?

As you can see, I have a new profile picture, taken last week. I had eyeglasses. So what’s behind my use of the eyeglasses? Well, just to see how I look in eyeglasses since I only get to use it when I read and when I am in front of my computer. It’s actually for reading only. Wow, It hid my eyebags and crow’s feet. Those two reasons makes me like it, but overall , I don’t want to be in eyeglasses. I sometimes unconsciously take a shower with eyeglasses on, when I used to have a correctional one in my elementary days. It also leaves a deep mark on the sides of the bridge of my nose. Lastly, it emphasizes the big base of my nose. So, what’s behind your eyeglasses, if ever you have one? Do you like wearing it?

I only wear my glasses when I'm using the computer and reading too. But when I don't sleep enough, I use it the whole day coz my vision gets blurry. I want my son's correctional rayban glasses coz when I tried it on, it ddin't make my nose look bigger. I'll get that one soon.

I wear eyeglasses only to read and to use my computer. I have very long eyelashes they touch the lens every time I blink.

Me too. I don't have long lashes but I put on mascara. So when I use my eyeglasses, they become clumpy because they also touch the lens. Well, at least for you they won't stick because they are real eyeglasses.

Yes, me too i don't like wearing eyeglasses. It seems heavy on my nose. Though, I use it also for reading. I am far sighted, so I don't use it when I am watching TV or even when I am watching from my laptop.

No, the more that I don't like to wear a contact lens. I don't want anything inside my eyes. I prefer the eyeglasses than the contact lens, if ever I have to choose between the two.

@allen0187 Actually, I can't also. Thinking that it was 275, I bought that eyeglass I am wearing in my profile picture. But when I used it at the office, it made me dizzy and I was reading from my laptop was blurry. Thus, I am safekeeping it when the grade of my glasses increases to that. So, the old 250 grade eyeglass is what I still use - that pink one. That is why it's good that I only buy those cheap ones.

What is the grade of the lens of your reading glass. Mine is 250. But that one is just bought at a Generics pharmacy for only 110 pesos so I bought 3. One for my bag, one for my drawer at the office and one for the house. It's cheap that's why. Though, when I watch TV I don't use it or else it gets blurred. I am far sighted.

@epiffanie Really, it is that so there? Here, you can use your old frame. The lens cost lesser than the frame they are selling. Like the lens is about 1500 pesos and the frame is 3000 pesos. I just buy my reading glass at the the Generics Pharmacy. It only costs 110 pesos, so I but 3, one for the house, one for the office and one for my bag.

@SIMPLYD I was thinking of getting a new pair over there in Sorsogon next year using one of my old frames .. because it is more expensive here if you want to use your old frame ..They want you to buy new one from them so they charge more if you use your own frame ..

According to the eye doctor, the grade of the lens of our eyeglasses increases each year so we have to visit them each year. But for me, no. My reading glasses are still okay since I bought them more than two years ago already.

I wear them for reading and computer work, too. My eye doctor told me to buy cheap over the counter glasses. I'm happy, because I would rather spend my money on designer sunglasses. I think yours look wonderful on you!

Same as you that's when I wear my eyeglasses. Really, he told you that! Me, I was prescribed a reading glass when I consulted the eye center. Once I know, the grade of my lens, I bought that one at a pharmacy plus that pink one in the picture and a gray one too. They are cheap that is why- only $2.20 / eyeglass. So one is for the office, one is for my bag and one for the house. And just like you, I would rather spend it on sunglasses, but not designer ones. Just affordable ones.

@SIMPLYD Yes, he told me that! He was honest, because he has an entire shop filled with glasses. I keep mine in my desk, in the kitchen, in the bathroom, in a closet, in my bag, in my jewelry drawer, and that's just here in Florida! Lol!!!! I only but one or two brands of sunglasses and now, one pair a year is more than enough for me.

a midwife of IMCU said my pair of eyeglasses looks good on me. but i cannot even say that because i am in to how the eyeglasses will 'serve' me, and the big frame suits me well. i am doble vista.

Yes, it suits your face well. When I consulted the eye center they told me to have a doble vista eyeglasses too. But I don't like doble vista, so I just bought these reading glasses at the Generics Pharmacy, because anyway the eye doctor said my lense grade is 250. They only cost 110 each and is serving me so well. At the pharmacy I tried 275 but it's 250 that really suits my eyes and can see those little letters in the book being read at the pharmacy for those trying the lenses, so very well.

@ridingbet Oh, is that so. Good thing, you tell me that, because I was thinking that what if I use the frame of that from TGP and had the lens fromthe eye center. A frame costs about 3000 pesos. Expensive.

@SIMPLYD the glasses at TGP are, i think, disposable. my sister bought a pair with the wish that the frames will be for her own visual acuity, but the salesclerk of TGP told her that the lens attached to the frames will easily be broken if removed.

I have one pair of glasses for seeing far and one pair for reading and contact lenses. I prefer contact lenses but it takes a lot to put them on so do not wear them that much these days. Wearing glasses is very easy to put them and take them off.

I have to use my eye-glasses most of the time, especially when driving, working on computers for a long time, and reading. Yes, they do leave some marks on my nose, but I don't mind much. I did had new eyeglasses last year April. Also, my glasses are having transition lenses, so they get dark in the harsh sunlight.

Thank you. So just like me, you have some other eyeglasses. It is an advantage that we have one handy at where we always use it. I have one at home, in the office and in my bag. That way, if I misplaced it, I have a reserve in my bag, always. Don't we all hate eyeglasses? It actually, add to our age.
