There was local news last week about a chief of a hospital in a nearby town here in my place that killed himself. I did not know who this doctor was, until a colleague narrated to us about what happened. Miss AUA and Miss Cata were my co-critics for the case colloquium of my group of students who had their duty at Intermediate Medical Care Unit. Miss AUA asked me if I can remember a former clinical instructor VB, whose surname now starts with O. I answered YES. Miss VB is a friend of mine on Facebook. AUA said it was VB’s husband-doctor who committed suicide. The circumstances were narrated by AUA to us the group of CI’s who were having lunch. According to AUA, the doctor was a loner, but a good person. He and his wife are well-off, and he was given a hundred thousand pesos by his father a week before the alleged suicide. There were no problems with the hospital where he is the chief administrator. It is so tragic because the wife did not have any idea why her husband did that.

There has to be reason and not simply depression. But then again celebrities did it or ordinary people simply because of that condition.

from what AUA told us, he was depressed due to some issues in the hospital wherein his name was dragged in to some financial problems of the employees. the doctor and his family are rich, and i don't think he needs to steal money from other people.

@thehousewife the doctor was not ill psychologically, according to AUA. maybe the reason about the hospital where he is the chief, made him get depressed and take his own life.

@ridingbet That's just absurd, I would have defended my position and those people who accused him are just envy and jealous! and now they probably got what they wanted. He should have probably just resign and fought for his dignity. there are people in this country that are extremely bitter.

I'm so sorry to hear this. Perhaps he was suffering from deep depression and hid it from others.

yes i think so too. he was a jolly doctor, according to AUA. could it be because he was hurt so bad and he cannot accept the sadness and depression?

No nobody knows the reason then. I am sorry that he killed himself. This person does not have God in his life.
