Regarding William Shallert

While researching for my 'In Fond Memory of Arbor Drugs' post, I was enlightened by just how prolific William Shallert was, as a character actor on TV. "Star Trek", "Get Smart", Quincy", Leave It to Beaver", and so many more television shows of the past, had William Shallert starring in them. And I was not previously aware of his great history as an actor. I was certainly familiar with him as an actor, just not familiar that he did so many appearances on such great shows. William had such a pleasant demeanor. It's hard to believe that he could play a bad guy; but, he probably has. Right? He had the kind of face that said: 'friendly'. (Kind of like James Gardner; but, that's a whole other topic.) Now then, William lived to the awesome age of 93. Isn't that something? And he did make a great contribution. I have seen him in so many old TV shows and movies from bits to larger parts.
